‘PML-Q to accept GB poll results despite reservations’

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) will accept the results of the Gilgit-Baltistan election despite having reservations over reports of rigging in the polls, party President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Saturday. Talking to reporters, Shujaat said he believed that a government of national consensus was needed in the region, keeping in view the sensitive nature of the area. However, the future role of the PML-Q in the region would be decided after consultation with the PML-Q members elected to the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly. staff report
